Το ντεμπούτο EP του στιχουργού και τραγουδιστή Κύριλλου Ρούσσου με τίτλο “Opening Night”, περιλαμβάνει το τραγούδι ‘When We Meet Again’ με την τελευταία ηχογράφηση του πατέρα του, Ντέμη Ρούσσου.
Το ντεμπούτο EP περιλαμβάνει 5 κομμάτια συνολικά και έχει επιρροές από μουσικές παραγωγές των ‘60ς & ‘70ς και από καλλιτέχνες όπως τους Bowie, PJ Harvey, Neil Young, Santo & Johnny, Neil Diamond & Jimmy Cliff.
Τα τραγούδια είναι σε σύνθεση και παραγωγή του Κύριλλου Ρούσσου και έχουν ηχογραφηθεί στην Αθήνα. Ένα από αυτά είναι διασκευή στο “On The Way Home” των Buffalo Springfield από το 1968.

CYRIL ROUSSOS
Born in Paris as the son of the great international singer Demis Roussos, Cyril had grown up in and around the music industry his entire life. He began his journey into music as a DJ in the early 2000s playing at clubs in both Paris and Athens where he began gaining notice by some prominent DJs of the era including the legendary Vasillis Tsilichristos as well as promoters such as the Red Bull Music Academy. He would later go on to produce remixes of his father’s work including a 2006 release of “Forever and Ever: A Roussos Vs Roussos Story”. Later in 2014, Cyril signed on as an artist with the then fledgling independent dance label Upfilter Records under the pseudo name “Jareth Cole”. Cyril continued to DJ in clubs, bars and in festivals, appearing regularly as a headliner at the “River Party Festival”
As of 2015, Cyril had moved on from electronic music so as to focus on singing and songwriting instead, taking influence from artists and albums of the 60s and 70s, the result of which is represented in his Upcoming EP “Opening Night” which he wrote and produced as a very personal musical insight into his own soul. In 2018 Cyril was asked to perform by Eric Dufaur (aka Private Pepper), the former head of EMI Publishing France, in a tribute showcase to the music of 1968 at the renowned Reservoir Club in Paris.
